Mollusk is a brewery and restaurant in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle that came from the creators of the former Gastropod eatery and Epic Ales. Mollusk brews on a small scale with a seven barrel system - keeping the craft in craft brewing. The Grit is apart of a botanical series and brewed with rye malt, showing their ingenuity and creative spirit.
Color: Deep copper and amber hues
Smell: Floral, citrus, sour, earthy
Taste: A big earthy body with citrus notes and mild hops with yeasty funk and a sour finish.
Overall: Innovative, creative, and incredibly drinkable. It's not too funky for a farmhouse as the other rye and sour characteristics come through nicely and balanced. If you're looking for something fresh in the craft beer scene in Seattle, Mollusk is the place to find it!
