Block 15 Brewing // Autumn Farmhouse Ale // Corvallis, OR // 7.5% ABV
A NW harvest ale bottled conditioned and brewed with local and organic honey (Queen Bee Apiaries), hops (Willamette Valley Hops), and oats (Green Willow Grains).
Color: A beautiful, pillowy head. The classic Fall hue of burnt orange with a slight haze. Yeast and other sediment sits at the bottom of the bottle.
Smell: Apricot, yogurt, fresh soil, honey, and crisp autumn air.
Taste: Grassy hops, peppery, with slight honey sweetness at the end. Perfectly dry with a solid medium body that lingers with a delightful amount of pithy bitterness. Crisp pilsner malt and a sort of Belgian influenced yeast strain with noble hop spice.
Overall: An autumn afternoon when the sun still hangs in the sky and the trees are full of color. This is an ale that warms on a crisp day, not yet in need of dark, heavier beers. The perfect balance between seasons and styles.
